Support Life Sunday 2024
Saturday and Sunday 12 and 13 October are the weekend of Support Life Sunday 2024. The theme this year is Infinite Dignity – Every person matters… always! He mea nui te ora o ngā tāngata katoa... i ngā wā katoa!
The theme helps us to explore the Vatican’s document Dignitas Infinita (On Human Dignity), which was published earlier this year and reaffirms “the indispensable nature of the dignity of the human person in Christian anthropology”.
It highlights ways in which that dignity can be violated, including through abortion, euthanasia and surrogate motherhood, as well as war, poverty and human trafficking.
The bishops' Nathaniel Centre for bioethics have prepared extensive resources for this. Liturgical material for parishes has been sent to parishes already and published here on this web page as they become available.
