Support Life Sunday 2023: Te Kahu o te Ora - A Consistent Ethic of Life
Saturday and Sunday 7 and 8 October are the weekend of Support Life Sunday 2023. The theme this year is Te Kahu o te Ora - A Consistent Ethic of Life. The work being done includes an extensive revision and updating of the bishops’ statement of that name from 1997.
The bishops' Nathaniel Centre for bioethics is preparing extensive resources for this. The first of these are ready – the National Liturgy Office's liturgical resources for parishes. They started being sent to parishes on 12 September.
The rest of the resources will follow as they are prepared. The resources will be sent to dioceses and parishes, and also published on this web page as they become available.

This revised version of Te Kahu o te Ora-A Consistent Ethic of Life follows, among other things, significant legislative changes that legalise euthanasia and make abortions easier to obtain.
