“Forgotten man” St Joseph a model for men who wish to be good fathers
Pope Francis has has proclaimed a “Year of St Joseph” from 8 December 2020 to 8 December 2021. His Apostolic Letter “Patris Corde” coincided with the 150th anniversary of the declaration of St Joseph the husband of Mary as Patron of the Catholic Church.
Bishop of Dunedin Michael Dooley has written a special reflection to mark the start of the Year. In it, Bishop Michael writes about his personal affinity with Joseph, and of Joseph as someone who has often seemed "the forgotten man," but who is "a great model for those men who wish to be good fathers."
