Mass suspended, churches closed for Level 4 Covid-19 lockdown

All Catholic Mass services are suspended because of the Level 4 lockdown of New Zealand in response to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.  Churches are necessarily closed because of this. All people except those classed as essential workers are required to stay at home, except for going to supermarkets, pharmacies, doctors and limited other exceptions.

Your bishops will update you as soon as possible on such matters as contacting your parish priests, funerals should they be needed, and how you can share the Lent and Easter liturgy during this difficult time.

Many churches are streaming Mass online. For a continuing updated list, visit this National Liturgy Office page
