Message of Condolence from the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference

The Bishops of Australia, gathered for their plenary meeting, received the sad news of the deaths of the miners in Greymouth. At our Mass at the tomb of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, we offered prayers for the eternal rest of the deceased and for their grieving relatives.

We ask you to convey sincerest condolences of the Catholic Bishops and people of Australia to the families of the deceased and the people of New Zealand.
