Catholic churches around the country are holding Masses for the miners who lost their lives at the Pike River coal mine. For information about Masses in your area contact your diocese.
Auckland: St Patrick's Cathedral
Prayers for all affected by the mining tragedy on the West Coast will be taking place each day as the St Patrick's Cathedral is open daylight hours for people who would like to stop by to say a prayer or light a candle.
When: Daily, 6.30am - 8pm

Dunedin: St Joseph's Cathedral
A Memorial Mass for the Miners will be celebrated by Bishop Colin Campbell at the Cathedral.

Palmerston North: The Holy Spirit Cathedral
A Memorial Mass for the Miners will be held at the Cathedral.
When: Wednesday 1 December, 12.05pm
Where: The Holy Spirit Cathedral, 197 Broadway Ave, Palmerston North
Wellington: Sacred Heart Cathedral
A Memorial Mass will be held for all those affected by the tragedy. Prayers will be said for the 29 miners who died, their families, the mining community and the West Coast people.
