Seminaries

There are two seminaries in New Zealand, both in Auckland, which prepare men for priesthood:

Holy Cross Seminary, established by the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference to prepare candidates for ordination to the diocesan priesthood.

Marist Seminary, established by the Society of Mary to prepare prepare candidates for ordination to the Marist priesthood..

Good Shepherd Theological College is where seminarians from both seminaries receive their academic formation. Lay people also study theology at the College. It is a joint venture of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference and the Society of Mary.
